The WACO Warrior football team played its first game of the season last night, beating Janesville in a week zero match-up on the road by a 25-14 score.

It was the Colton Horak show up in Janesville last night, leading the team in both rushing and receiving.  He carried it 11 times for 91 yards (8.27  YPC) and notched five catches for 99 yards (19.8 YPR).  He also scored two touchdowns; an eight-yard run and a 78-yard reception.  He also did the punting, kicked a field goal and led the team in tackles on the defensive side with 14.

With the win, the Warriors move to 1-0 on the young season.  They’ll look for more of the same next Friday when they travel to Marengo to take on Iowa Valley.  Kickoff for that one is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
