A contract was awarded for a Highway 22 resurfacing project in the City of Riverside.

The Riverside City Council awarded a contract for a $1,884,454 bid to Triple B Construction of Wilton, who are already working on the Galileo Drive construction project for the city. Work is expected to begin this fall, Mayor Allen Schneider comments on the timeline, “I don’t know if we’ve got an exact date yet we’ll have a preconstruction meeting scheduled here soon. I mentioned they are working on that other project and they have plans to start paving for that in early September to have that buttoned up by the end of September so I would imagine it would be sometime in September we would see work start.”

The project involves resurfacing Highway 22 within city limits along with some additional infrastructure and curb and gutter work along that route. Schneider expects the project to be completed in 2019.
