At around 12:15p.m. local authorities received a call regarding round hay bales on fire at Juniper Avenue and 135th southeast of Wellman.

The fire also spread to a barn on the property. Responding to the scene were Washington Fire, Kalona Fire, Wellman Fire, Riverside Fire, Washington County Sheriff’s Department and Washington County Ambulance. KCII will bring you more information when it becomes official.
