The Lone Tree Lion softball team finished their season at an even 11-11; the closest the program has been to a winning season in the last eight years.

This comes as a remarkable improvement from a 4-17 record from a very young and inexperienced team a season ago.  But with a year under their belts, the Lions improved in the win column by seven games and made a run to the second round of the playoffs.  They also finished .500 in conference play at 7-7; good for fifth place.

They were led by three all-conference players, first-teamer Chloe Jacque and second-teamers Abby Buckman and Holley Johnson.  All three will be returning next season.

The Lions graduate just one senior, Skylar Pettitt, and retain their remaining 19 players.
