***This game has been postponed to Saturday (7/14) at noon***

After finishing their regular season with a 21-11 record, the Washington Demon baseball team heads to the postseason tonight to take on Iowa City Liberty on neutral territory.

The two teams have seen each other before this season; the Demons played the Lightning in a marathon of a double-header on the road on June 11, with Washington taking the sweep after five and a half hours of play.  Game one of that one ended with a 7-5 score in the tenth inning, and game two was an 11-5 victory in regulation.

The Demons will try to complete the season sweep and advance one step closer to state tonight in Fairfield.  With a win, they will face either Fairfield or Fort Madison in the district finals on Tuesday night.  Catch coverage of tonight’s first-round game on KCII, with the Washington HyVee Pregame Show starting at 4:30 and a 5:00 first pitch.
