For the second time this season the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team was unable to complete a contest due to inclimate weather.
On Thursday the Hawks traveled to Fairfield to take on the Trojans in a non-conference match up. The two teams completed an inning and a half and were working through the bottom of the second with Fairfield holding a 2-0 lead when weather kicked up again stopping the game. The Golden Hawk’s Jacob Leonard got the start on the hill and was pitching when action stopped. Mid-Prairie did not have a hit against Trojan starter Jackson Wheaton. Fairfield’s lead came on a two RBI hit from Cade Lisk. The two teams have not yet settled on a date to conclude the game.
