The Iowa Mennonite School baseball and softball teams are back on the diamond Thursday when they host the Pekin Panthers in Southeast Iowa Superconference play.

The IMS softball team enters action with a 1-11 overall record. They were last on the field Monday against Louisa-Muscatine when they were beaten 13-0. On the season, IMS is hitting .244, led by Avery Blauvelt and her .400 average. As a team, IMS has a 7.11 ERA, led by Hannah Harris with a 1-9 record in 60 innings and a 6.07 ERA.

Pekin comes into tonight’s game with an overall record of 11-11. In their last game they fell to Columbus 2-0. On the season the Panthers are hitting .245, led by Zoey Wright with a .474 average. In the circle the Panthers have a team ERA of 2.76, led by Cari Duwa with a 6-4 record in 84 innings with a 1.83 ERA. These two teams met earlier this season with the Panthers taking a 10-6 win.

The Iowa Mennonite baseball team comes into tonight’s action with a mark of 7-6 on the year. Last time out they beat Louisa-Muscatine Monday 8-4. On the season, IMS is hitting .271, led by Eli Ours and his .364 average. On the mound IMS has a team ERA of 4.24 led by Drew Blauvelt with a 2-0 record and 0.64 ERA in 11 innings of work.

Pekin comes into the baseball contest with an overall mark of 10-5. Last time out the Panthers beat Columbus 12-0. On the season the Panthers are hitting .302, led by Tanner Bainbridge at .460. On the mound Pekin has a team ERA of 2.38, led by Skyler Juhl with a 3-0 record and 1.64 ERA in 21 innings. These two teams met earlier this season with Pekin scoring a 7-6 win.
