The Iowa Mennonite School baseball and softball teams travel to Mediapolis Tuesday for a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader with the Bulldogs and Bullettes.
The IMS baseball team is 7-6 on the year after an 8-4 win on Monday over Louisa-Muscatine. On the season, IMS is hitting .271, led by Eli Ours with a .364 average. IMS has a team ERA of 4.24, led by Drew Blauvelt with a 2-0 record and 0.64 ERA. Mediapolis comes into tonight’s game with an overall record of 13-5 on the year, last time out the Bulldogs lost to Van Buren 2-0 on Friday. For the year MEPO is hitting .370, led by Levi Eberhardt at .477. On the mound the Bulldogs have a combined ERA of 2.79, led by Cauy Massner with a 4-0 record and 1.04ERA. These two teams met a year ago with IMS taking a 5-2 win.
The Iowa Mennonite softball team comes into tonight’s game with an overall record of 1-11 after falling to Louisa-Muscatine 13-0 on Monday. This season, IMS is hitting .244 at the plate, led by Avery Blauvelt with a .400 average. In the circle, IMS has a team ERA of 7.11, led by Hannah Harris with a 6.07 ERA in 60 innings of work and 1-9 record. Mediapolis comes into tonight’s doubleheader with an overall record of 0-18. Last time out the Bullettes were beaten by Highland Monday 10-0. This year MEPO is hitting .177 at the plate, led by Catie Messer with a .277 average. In the circle the Bullettes have a team ERA of 10.54, led by Olivia Moehle with a 10.31 ERA in 74 innings with an 0-14 overall record. These two teams met a year ago with Mediapolis taking an 11-7 win.
