A work session and a special session await the Washington County Board of Supervisors this week in addition to their regular weekly meeting.

Following the regular meeting, a work session will be held regarding the Washington County Recycling Center which has seen the market decline recently for plastics and paper to the point where it is costing the contractor to get rid of materials. That will be followed by the official canvas of the primary election votes. In the regular meeting, the supervisors will discuss the possible purchase of the Federation Bank building and they will hear a funding request from the Washington County YMCA. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Washington County Courthouse.
