The Iowa Mennonite School baseball and softball teams are in search of their first victories of the season Monday when they host the Wapello Indians and Arrows in Southeast Iowa Superconference action.

The IMS baseball team enters play with an 0-2 overall record. On Friday they fell at Pekin 7-6. For the season they are hitting .104 as a team, led by London Schrock and his .333 average. On the mound they have a team ERA of 5.25 led by Reggie Borntrager with a zero ERA in four and two thirds innings of work.

Wapello comes into tonight’s action with an overall record of 4-5. Last time out they beat Highland 7-3. For the year the Indians are hitting .257 as a team, led by Trace Howard and his .448 average. On the hill Wapello has a collective 4.40 ERA. The Indians are led by Brentin Pallister with a 1-0 record and 1.50 ERA in nine innings of work. A season ago, IMS beat Wapello 4-3.

The Iowa Mennonite softball team is 0-3 on the year after their 10-6 loss to Pekin on Friday. IMS is hitting .203 on the year, led by Hannah Harris and her .400 average. In the circle, IMS has a team ERA of 12.25 led by Harris with an 8.75 ERA in 12 innings of work.

The Wapello softball team is 8-3 on the year. Last time out they beat Highland Friday 5-1. On the season the Arrows are hitting .337, led by Mady Reid and her .447 average. In the circle the Arrows have a 2.65 team ERA, led by Eliza Noa with 40 innings pitched and a 0.88 ERA. These two teams met last year with Wapello taking a 6-0 win.
