The Washington Demon baseball team also split their action against the Trojans down in Fairfield last night.

Similarly to the softball team, the Demons couldn’t seem to get much done offensively as they fell victim to a stellar pitching performance, notching only four hits and losing by a score of 5-1.

They turned up the heat in game two though, scoring nine runs, six of which came in the first four innings.  With the split, the Demons move up to 5-3 on the season and 3-1 in Southeast Conference play.  They’ll take to the diamond again on Monday, as they welcome Keokuk into town for a double header.  You can catch all the action in that one on KCII FM 106.1, with the Washington HyVee Pregame show starting at 5 a
