The Mid-Prairie boys and girls soccer teams are both in action Thursday away from Wellman.

The Mid-Prairie boys travel to Mediapolis for a non-conference match with the Bulldogs. The Hawks enter play with a 5-4 overall record and on a three game winning streak after a 4-2 victory over Keokuk on Friday, led by a hat trick from Ashton VanWinkle. On the year the Mid-Prairie offense is led by VanWinkle and his 15 goals. Zeus Fugate paces the Hawks with eight assists and Beau Stutzman leads Mid-Prairie in goal with 30 saves. The Bulldogs come into the matchup with an overall record of 6-9, off of a 2-1 win over Fort Madison on Tuesday. MEPO is led on the year by Shawn Yaley with five goals, Carter Konecne with five assists and Yaley with 172 saves. These two teams met a year ago with Mid-Prairie taking a 3-0 win.

The Golden Hawk girls travel to Benton Community Thursday. Mid-Prairie is 1-5 on the year after a 5-4 loss to Northeast Goose Lake on Monday. Libby Baker led Mid-Prairie in the loss with a hat trick. On the season, the Golden Hawks are led by Baker and her seven goals. In goal, Mackenzie Bean has 44 saves. Benton comes into the match with a record of 1-11 after a 3-0 loss to Maquoketa this week. On the year the Bobcats are led by Shakayla Lamer with a pair of goals and Taylor Traynor with 65 saves. These two teams met a year ago with the Golden Hawks getting a 1-0 win. The boys will start at 5p.m. at Mediapolis and the girls at 5:30 at Benton.
