The Washington Demon girls seventh grade track and field team won the team title at Friday’s Max Cousins Relays at Case Field in Washington.
The Demons took the championship with a score of 169 points. Fairfield was second with 161 points. Washington won eight championships on the night. Alex Murphy won the shot put with a throw of 27’7″. Ally Rees the discus at 71’3″. Grace Voss took the high jump clearing 4’2″. Makenna Conrad won the long jump with a leap of 13’8.5″. Ava Wulf won the 200 hurdles in 34.99 seconds. Anna Collett the 800 in 2:54.42 and in relay events the 4×800 team of Alecia Goff, Collett, Gracey Simmering and Kaylin Long was a winner in 12:15.44 and the Demon 4×400 team of Goff, Voss, Long and Conrad won the title in 4:45.87.
