The calendar has flipped to May, and the No. 11 Iowa Mennonite boys soccer team is still rolling.

They improved to 9-0 Tuesday with a 3-1 win over the visiting Danville Bears. Iowa Mennonite wasted no time jumping on Danville, two minutes into the contest, Cole Ours delivered a ball to Jacob Boller that he put in the back of the net to give IMS the 1-0 lead. Three minutes later Cody Jones played a perfect corner kick into the six that the Bears knocked in for an own goal, leaving the score at 2-0 going to the half. Danville cut the IMS lead in half out of the break. The Bears scored off of a deflected direct kick rebound. Iowa Mennonite quickly had the answer with Gerardo Mendoza turning a Boller assist into a goal to make it 3-1 and that’s where things finished. With the win IMS clinches an undefeated conference season and the Superconference title. They will next be in action Thursday when they host No. 1 Iowa City Regina.
