The WACO School District has to find a new superintendent by July 1st.

Washington School District announced last week that their new superintendent will be William Stone, and the board chose to end their sharing agreement with WACO. WACO School Board President Tim Graber says the board is currently processing the news of Washington’s decision, and no decisions have been made regarding a superintendent search yet. Graber says the district does not need a full-time superintendent and a sharing agreement would be preferred. The operational sharing of superintendent gave $50,000 to the district. The next regular WACO school board meeting is on May 21, and Graber says they will likely meet before then to discuss a superintendent search.
