Thursday, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team hosted their annual Golden Hawk Invitational 18-hole tournament at the Kalona Golf Course.

Mid-Prairie shot their lowest nine hole round of the season with a 202 on the front nine, only to come back and better that mark with a 194 on the back nine for a total 396 team score, tying Williamsburg for the top team score. The Raiders bested the Golden Hawks on the cardback to the fifth score for the tiebreaker. Leading Mid-Prairie to their runner-up finish was meet medalist runner-up Paige Slabaugh with an 89. Other scores for Mid-Prairie included Abbi Patterson with a 98, Georgia Nisly at 103, Kendra Schaefer with a 110, Abigail Statler at 118 and Emma Mattes with a 124. The Golden Hawks will next be on the course Monday when they travel to Wilton.
