Drought conditions in Iowa have lessened slightly from last week to this week.
Currently 7.4% of the state is in moderate drought and just over 18% is abnormally dry. The southern half of Washington County is abnormally dry. All of Henry County is abnormally dry and the southwestern half of Keokuk County is abnormally dry. Jefferson County is mostly abnormally dry with the southwestern third in moderate drought. Partly sunny skies are in the forecast for the area this weekend.
