The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team fell to West Liberty in their first River Valley Conference match of the year 6-1 on Thursday.

The Comets scored twice in the games first five minutes to take a lead they would not give up the rest of the night. The Golden Hawks got on the board when Nick Ives found Ashton VanWinkle for his fourth goal of the season. With the loss the Golden Hawks are now 1-1 on the year.
