Four area boys track teams will travel to the Central College Indoor meet Friday.
The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys are back on the track for the first time since the Dickenson Relays earlier in the month at UNI. The Hawks had four top ten finishes at the meet including Kyle Miller fourth in the high jump, the Mid-Prairie 4×800 team was fifth, Floyd Evans seventh in the 1600, and the 4×400 team was 10th.
The Iowa Mennonite School boys will be on the track for the first time this indoor season. The IMS boys are coming off of a season where they finished 14th as a team at the district meet at WACO.
Lone Tree will also be in action today in Pella for the first time on the indoor circuit. The Lions had a big year last season, qualifying eight events for the state meet and finishing as district runners-up at WACO.
The WACO Warriors will step on the track today for the first time in the new indoor season. WACO was fourth a year ago as a team at the district meet. The Warriors qualified five different events for state last season.
The field boasts teams from all four classes around the state. Action continues all day today at Kuyper Fieldhouse in Pella.
