Highland and Mid-Prairie students will be competing at the State Individual Speech Contest this weekend.

Huskies Nathan Butler, Sam Davis, and Zoe Mahler will be competing at state. Golden Hawks Mackenzie Beam, Maizy Fugate, Lola Knight, Sierra Mathews, Elizabeth Meader, Evan Meader, Tristan Novy, Lillian Radeboldt, Carah Reimer, Isaiah Sents, and Eli Van Roekel will be competing at state. The southeast Iowa State Individual Speech Contest will be at Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School Saturday. Students who receive a Division I rating and are nominated as an outstanding performer will advance to All-State at the University of Northern Iowa March 26.
