The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk basketball teams are back on the floor tonight for a makeup non-conference doubleheader with Mediapolis.

The Mid-Prairie girls come into the contest with a 9-7 overall record. They fell to Wilton on the road Tuesday 67-65. On the season Addie Rath leads the Golden Hawks and is second in the conference scoring 19 points per game. She also leads the team with 110 rebounds. Anna Vilovchick leads Mid-Prairie with 40 assists.

Mediapolis comes into tonight’s game with an overall record of 14-3. The Bullettes are ranked No. 15 in class 2A in this week’s poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. They won at Wapello Tuesday 64-51. On the  year the Bullettes are led by Maya Johnson scoring 22 points per game, third most in class 2A. Makenzie Rodgers is third in the state with 103 assists. Helaina Hillyard has a team best 118 boards, seventh most in the Superconference. Mid-Prairie won this matchup last year 63-46.

The Mid-Prairie boys enter tonight with a 4-12 overall record, winners of two straight including a 77-37 road win over Wilton Tuesday. On the season the Golden Hawks are led by Cale Robertson at nine points per game. Brad Tornow is best on the team and fifth in the River Valley with 44 assists. Tom Butters is best on the team and fourth in the RVC with 103 rebounds.

Mediapolis comes into tonight with an overall record of 5-9. In their last game they were beaten by Wapello 70-50. Ben Wolgemuth leads the Bulldogs on the year scoring 14 points per game eighth most in the Superconference. He’s also the team’s leading rebounder and fourth in the conference with 139 boards. Owen Timmerman has a team best 37 assists. Mid-Prairie won this matchup last year 59-29.
