The Washington City Council has set their top strategic priorities in 2018 and 2019.

Wellness Park phase one, sewer inflow and infiltration, promoting housing development, and construction of a new fire station and improvement to city hall and the police station are the top priorities for the next two years. Additional priorities include improving sidewalks, promoting business development, and continue to update the capital improvements plan. City council member Jaron Rosien felt safety in the city’s parks should also be addressed. The council approved an amendment to add “improve public safety in parks” and then approved the full list of priorities.
