While today people stuff themselves with good food, Saturday is a day to burn those calories. The ninth annual Jingle Bell 5K Fun Run will allow you to do just that in Washington.

The community event is for individuals of all ages and gets started at 9 a.m. There will be two different races including a 5K that will start on the square and makes its way through Sunset Park and then a one-mile fun run or walk in Central Park. Sign up begins at 8 a.m. at the Washington Y on the square. The event is $25 for individuals ages 10 and older and $10 for ages 10 and under. To add to the fun, costumes and pets are encouraged with awards of the best ugly sweater and best-dressed pet. Proceeds from the event go to PAWS & More and to the Washington High School track renovations.

The KCII Big Red Radio will be in attendance to entertain with Christmas music.
