Washington received nearly half an inch of rain Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

The normal amount for the first 12 days of November is just over one inch, and Washington has observed about half of that so far this month. The wet ground, mixed with clear skies and calm winds allowed fog to develop Sunday night into Monday morning. The conditions caused a dense fog advisory to be issued until 10 a.m. Monday.
