After a joint work session Wednesday the Highland and Lone Tree School Boards are considering sharing Superintendent Ken Crawford.
The boards are also considering sharing Highland’s Transportation Director, Building and Grounds/Maintenance Director, and Human Resources liaison. According to Highland Interim Superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgensen this would mean an additional $139,944 of revenue for each district. This sharing agreement would be reviewed for possible renewal on an annual basis. Highland will be holding a community meeting in the Highland Media Center at 6 p.m. on November 29, and Lone Tree will hold a community meeting at their media center at 6 p.m. December 6. Both boards will also have this as a discussion item on their board agendas in December. Jorgensen says action may be taken on this agreement in January.
