Results are in and incumbents and newcomers were elected to mayoral and council seats in area elections.

David Hagans was elected for Brighton mayor, beating incumbent Robert B. Farley 45-31. For the City of Riverside incumbent Allen Schneider won the mayoral seat with 154 votes while 59 votes were cast for Joseph Graff. Incumbent Tom Sexton was reelected to Riverside City Council with 107 votes and Andy Rodgers was elected with 116 votes. In the contested Kalona City Council election incumbents Mark Robe, Joe Schmidt, and Craig Spitzer were selected to fill the three seats.
