The Washington volleyball team saw their season come to a close losing to Mount Pleasant in the first round of regionals in straight sets.
The Demons came out tough in the first set but ultimately fell 25-20. The Panthers got on a roll and then won the last two sets by scores of 25-9 and 25-19. Leading the way for the Demons was their senior core group including Morgan Brinning with nine kills and 12 digs. Megan Mitchell accounted for 11 assists and Kylee Porter added 12 digs. The Demons were successful on 48 of their 54 serve attempts and managed four aces.
With the win Mount Pleasant moves to 12-18 and the Demons end the season with a 5-24 record. The Demons lose Brinning, Mitchell, and Porter to graduation.
