Three area individuals advanced to the state cross country meet in Fort Dodge from the state qualifier meet in Solon Thursday.

In the boys race, Levi Geyer of Iowa Mennonite School will make his second straight trip to Fort Dodge following his seventh place finish overall in 17:17.

In the girls race, Winfield-Mt. Union’s Pearl Krieger-Coble punched her ticket to Fort Dodge with a seventh place finish in 21:07.

Taylor Sublette of Highland will also be in Fort Dodge for the state meet after finishing in 12th place with a time of 21:40.

In the boys race other finishers for Iowa Mennonite included Jacob Boller in 56th, Aaron Hershberger in 73rd, John Hughes 99th, Gideon Sangare in 103rd, and Micah Miller in 108th. IMS finished 12th of 19 teams with an overall score of 314 points.

The Winfield-Mt. Union boys were ninth of 19 teams with an overall score of 256 points. Top finisher for the Wolves was Brody Barton in 16th with a time of 17:42. Other finishers for the Wolves included Jarod Kadel 20th, Asa Gipple 53rd, Dane Sweezer 88th, Tristan Kauffman 96th, Bryant Holtcamp 116th and Jacob Kongable 137th.

The Columbus boys were 13th of 19 teams with a score of 318 points. Top finisher for the Wildcats was Marc Estrada in 35th with a time of 18:44. Other finishers for Columbus included Hunter Humiston 43rd, Johnny Espinosa 72nd, Jesus Medrano 79th, Chase Wheeler 111th, James Spurlock 126th and Cesar Neri 132nd.

The Lone Tree boys were 17th of 19 teams with a score of 416 points. Top finisher for the Lions was Alberto Cortes in 47th with a time of 19:22. Other Lone Tree finishers included Nick Saltzman 70th, Cale Christofferson 93rd, Caleb Viers 123rd, and Curtis Patterson 124th.

The Highland boys didn’t have enough runners to post a team score. The Huskies were led by Bryan Redlinger in 67th place with a time of 20:06. Other finishers for Highland included Mason Manley 85th, Jacob Roling 109th, and Luke Vanschoyck 136th.

In the girls race, Highland finished eighth of 15 teams with an overall score of 214 points. Aside from the finish by Sublette the Huskies were led by Zoe Mahler in 27th along with Madison Thomann 43rd, Fiona Mahler 76th, Alli Brand 79th, and Kate McFarland 97th.

Winfield-Mt. Union was 10th of 15 teams with their score of 234 points. Aside from Krieger-Coble, top finish for the Wolves came from Cecelia Hemsworth in 23rd, Isabella Mertens 72nd, Whitney Vantiger 75th, and Fionna Sparrow 86th.

Iowa Mennonite finished 14th of 15 teams in the girls race with 356 points. Top finisher for the IMS girls was Sarena Gerber in 46th with a time of 23:56. Other IMS finishers included Rachel Geyer 73rd, Greta Schrag 94th, Mackenzie Gutierrez 96th, Kennedy Roth 98th, Meredith Blossom 105th and Ainsley Shaw 106th.
