Santa isn’t the only man with a bag of gifts, as one local organization will be going from house to house leaving red bags for area residents.

Instead of leaving goodies, they’ll be asking for them. This Saturday Cub Scout Pack 234 will be dropping off bags at homes in Kalona, Wellman, and Richmond, asking residents to fill the bags with nonperishable food. The pack asks residents to have their donations ready by October 14, when they will pick up the donations from 9-11 a.m. All donations will be given to the Kalona Food Bank.
