A 24-year-old died in a car wreck in Iowa County Saturday.

According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office, at 6:50 a.m. Saturday the wreck was found by citizens near 240th Street and T Avenue, about four miles east of Williamsburg. Cody Severns of Williamsburg was killed in the crash and was alone in the car. Deputies found that the Ford Taurus had failed to negotiate a curve on 240th Street while westbound, hit an embankment and flipped. Authorities state it appears the wreck happened a least a couple of hours before discovery. The incident remains under investigation, with assistance from the Williamsburg Police and Iowa County Medical Examiner’s Office.
