Today is the final day to file papers for candidacy for city elections.

For the City of Wellman, Mayor Ryan Miller’s term and council members Fern Bontrager and Shannon McCain’s terms are expiring this year. According to City Administrator Kelly Litwiller, Miller and McCain have both filed for reelection. Bontrager is not seeking reelection for council. One other candidate, Mark Philpot, has filed to run for the open seat. The city election is on November 7.
