The Iowa Mennonite School cross country team was back on the course Thursday when they traveled to Waterworks Park in Fairfield.
The IMS boys placed seventh out of nine teams with an overall score of 162 points. Pekin won the meet with 32 points. Top finisher for IMS was Levi Geyer who took third overall with a time of 17:29. Other IMS finishers included Jacob Boller 20th, Aaron Hershberger 44th, Gibson Lowenberg 46th, Jesse Slater 49th, Micah Miller 50th and Gideon Sangare 52nd.
The Iowa Mennonite girls took ninth of 10 teams with an overall score of 191 points. Pekin won the event with 35 points. Top finisher for the IMS girls was Mackenzie Gutierrez in 31st with a time of 25:15. Other finishers for IMS included Sarena Gerber 32nd, Rachel Geyer 40th, Greta Schrag 41st, Kennedy Roth 47th, Meredith Blossom 48th and Ainsley Shaw 50th.
The IMS cross country team will next be in action Tuesday at North English.
