On Friday, Case Field will be full of excitement for the first football game of the year and performance by the Washington High School marching band at half time.

At their recent meeting, the Washington City Council approved a police escort for the marching band, which warms up at Lincoln Elementary School and marches to Case Field. The route for the homecoming parade was also approved. The Homecoming parade and game will be September 22nd. Activities Director Brent VanWeelden said it’s the same as in years past, it begins at the high school on South B Avenue, then goes east on Tyler Street, north on Iowa Avenue, west on Main Street, and ends on Marion Avenue with a pep rally in Central Park.
