Beginning July 5th a portion of Riverside Road will be closed for construction.

The Washington County Engineer’s Office announced the closure will be for W61, or Riverside Road, from 135th Street to approximately a quarter mile south of 130th Street. The work area is about one mile south of Riverside. Work will include the extension of two reinforced concrete box culverts and grading to improve the foreslopes. The office states the work will help improve the safety of the road. The $281,613.07 project will take about a month and a half, depending on the weather, to be complete. Local construction dollars are being used for the project, which is being done by Iowa Bridge and Culvert, L.C. of Washington.
