The Sigourney softball team looked good once again as they blew by Moravia on Thursday winning 6-1.

The Savages got on the board with a pair of runs in the second inning and tacked on four more in the fourth to break the game open. Five Sigourney batters managed hits in the contest including Summer Barthelman who went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI. Megan Stuhr went 1-for-2 with a run scored. Kendall Streigle pitched her second consecutive game without giving up a earned run as she went seven strong innings of eight hit ball with three strikeouts.

With the win Sigourney improves to 15-11 on the season as Moravia drops to 7-10. Sigourney is on the diamond again Monday when they travel to Keota for a South Iowa Cedar League contest.
