Postseason golf has been kind to the Washington girls in recent history. Back to back conference and state titles have translated to expected success this time of year for the Demons. The team looks to keep that trend going today as they kick off postseason play with the Southeast Conference meet in Fairfield.
Sarah Nacos is no stranger to the big stage as the junior already has two individual conference titles on her resume and is the heavy favorite to earn another today. Her 36.8 nine-hole average is an impressive seven strokes better than any other golfer in the conference. Megan Strabala and Allison Vogel will be right up there for a top spot as their 49 stroke average is tied for fourth out of all participating members. Sophomore Carly Burlingame rounds out the top four with the Demons as she has posted a 56 stroke season average.
The chance for a third straight conference title starts today at 9 a.m. at the Walton Golf Club in Fairfield.
