The Washington Demon boys soccer team has a lot on the line tonight when they travel down highway 218 to Keokuk.

The Demons are looking to climb above the .500 mark for the first time since early April, and hand the front running Chiefs their first conference loss of the year. Washington comes in with a 4-4 overall record. They handled Mediapolis in their last match by an 8-2 score. On the season the Demons are led by the Southeast Conference’s second leading scorer Caleb Suchan and his eight goals on the year. John Dillon holds the team lead with three assists. In goal the Demons have the best keeper in the conference and eighth best in the state by the numbers in Thomas Zimmer and his 77 saves.

Keokuk enters tonight with a 6-3 overall record. After an 0-3 start the Chiefs have righted the ship to win six straight and run out to a two game lead in the conference standings. Keokuk is led by Jamin Klose, leading scorer in the Southeast Conference with his 12 goals. Austin West leads the team and the conference with eight assists. Isaac Dunlap is in goal for the Chiefs with 60 saves.

These two teams met on April third in Washington with the Chiefs taking a 3-0 win. Action begins tonight at 5:30 at Keokuk High School.
