Despite the wet weather the blue oval in Des Moines was buzzing with competition involving KCII area athletes Friday.
Sigourney’s Autum Barthelman finished seventh in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.06 seconds. Washington’s Hannah Anderson was 16th in the 100m dash with a time of 12.69 while Autum Barthelman of Sigourney was 27th in 13.01 seconds. Cornell Hulme of WACO and Avery Moore of Sigourney ran the boys 100m dash. Moore finished 22nd with a time of 11.34 seconds, Hulme was 25th in 11.41 seconds. Anna Hostetler of Mid-Prairie ran the 800, finishing fifth with a time of 2:16.35. The Washington Demon 4×100 team of Leah Marek, Jenah Greiner, Makenzi Marek and Hannah Anderson finished 41st with their time of 51.53 seconds.
