The Washington girls’ golf team travels to Mt. Pleasant tonight to battle the Panthers and Fairfield.

Bragging rights in the Southeast Conference are on the line for three teams that are separated by just nine strokes per nine holes in team season average. The Demons come into the contest with a current conference best 191.33 led by two-time state champion Sarah Nacos. Her 37.67 stroke average through three matchups is good enough for second in the state for a Washington squad that is fourth in team average in the state. Rounding out the Demons’ top four  are Allison Vogel and Megan Strabala each averaging 48 along with Carly Burlingame at 56. Fairfield is eighth in the state in team average with a 195 and is led by Kylee Marlay, averaging a 46. Mount Pleasant’s 200-stroke team average is tenth in the state led by Keri Herr who averages a 43.

Action gets started at 4 p.m. tonight at Mt. Pleasant Golf and Country Club.
