The Iowa Mennonite boys soccer team turned a road trip to West Point into a business trip Tuesday night, beating the Holy Trinity Crusaders 4-1.
IMS got on the board in the 28th minute when a Cole Ours assist set up Jacob Boller to find the back of the net and give IMS a 1-0 lead. In the 33rd minute Seth Danga doubled the IMS lead to 2-0 off of a Boller assist going into the break. In the second half the Crusaders would score to pull within 2-1 but IMS found a pair of insurance goals down the stretch, with Danga scoring his second and Ours getting his first to put the game out of reach. Blake Bontrager made five saves in goal for Iowa Mennonite. With the win, IMS is now 1-1 on the year and 1-0 in conference. They will next be in action Thursday when they host Highland.
