The Clear Creek-Amana boys soccer team upended Mid-Prairie Monday night in Wellman by a 2-1 score.

The Golden Hawks took a lead in the 19th minute when Nick Ives beat the Clipper defense and found the back of the net. The Golden Hawks carried that lead into the halftime break. In the second half, Mid-Prairie’s defense continued to turn away the Clippers, until the 62nd minute when Trevor King tied the game on a shot from beyond 25 yards. The Clippers got the game winner in regulation on a goal from Wyatt Sedlacek to complete the come from behind victory. With the loss Mid-Prairie is now 1-2 on the season and will next be in action Monday at Monticello.
