The Washington Demon, Winfield-Mt. Union and Columbus Wildcat girls track teams all competed Tuesday at the Pen City Relays in Fort Madison.

The Demons had the best team finish, ending in third place in the large school division with 78 points. Mount Pleasant won the meet with 144 points. Washington took home two championships. Hannah Anderson was the winner in the 100m dash with a time of 12.75 seconds. Ashley Telleen won the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:10.37. Other top finishes for the Demons included a runner-up for the sprint medley relay team of Marek, Greiner, Anderson and Telleen. A third place finish for the distance medley team of Barber, Marek, Greiner and Horak, third place for the 4×200 team of Marek, Telleen, Bailey and Anderson, Claire Horak third in the 800, Jenah Greiner third in the 200, the 4×100 team of Marek, Greiner Marek and Anderson third and a third place finish for the 4×400 team of Bailey, horak, Marek and Telleen.

Winfield Mt. Union finished sixth in the small school division with 49 points. Mediapolis won the meet with 140 points. The Wolves had one championship on the night with Cecilia Hemsworth taking the 800 in 2:38.99. Other top finishes for WMU included Pearl Krieger-Coble 2nd in the 3000, the 4×800 team of Hemsworth, Guillen, Harris and Vantiger were third, and the 4×200 team of Vantiger, Guillen, Matthews and Urias were third.

Columbus finished seventh with 36 points. Top finishes for the Wildcats all came from Shania Boyd. She was second in the 100m dash and 100m hurdles and third in the 400m hurdles.
