The Washington Demon and Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls soccer teams will take the pitch against one another tonight in a preseason scrimmage in Wellman.

Washington finished 0-14 a season ago, including a 9-1 loss to the Golden Hawks on April 12th. Washington returns veteran leadership in Jessica Hora, Jessie Bucholz, Odalis Zamudio, Baylee Stalder, Quinn Buckingham and Andrea Pingol.

Mid-Prairie is coming off of a 5-7 campaign a year ago. The Golden Hawks return last year’s leading scorer in Addie Rath, who finished 14 goals. Other key returners for the Hawks include Kayle Truitt, Mikayla Ulin, Rachel Harapat, Ada Hulseberg, Erica Slabaugh, Maya Hall, Amanda Miller and Ireland Hostetler.

Action begins tonight 4:30 at the Mid-Prairie Soccer Complex in Wellman.
