The Mid-Prairie girls track team traveled to Ames for the Iowa State Girls High School Indoor Classic Monday.

The best finishes for the Golden Hawks were turned in by Anna Hostetler who was a two time champion on the evening. Hostetler won the title in the 1500m run with a time of 4:51.96. She also took the 3000m run championship in 10:13.14. Marie Hostetler took runner up in both events, finishing with a time of 10:21.68 in the 3000m and 4:58.12 in the 1500m. Others who participated but did not place for Mid-Prairie included Kitty Conway and Lizzie Wildeboer in the 60m dash, Shelby Zahradnek and Moriah Brase in the 800m, Kylee Kos and Caryssa Vance in the shot put and the Golden Hawk 4×400, 4×800 and 800 sprint medley teams. The Golden Hawks will next be on the track March 23rd at the River Valley Conference indoor meet.
