The Washington Demon boys’ basketball team (7-11) will close their league schedule with a rivalry matchup versus the Mount Pleasant Panthers (17-2) tonight. Mount Pleasant crushed Washington in the first meeting on January 6, 86-36.
Washington enters the game winning four of their last six games. The Demons edged the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks on Tuesday, 78-73. Washington scored 23 points in each of the first and fourth quarters. Five Demons scored in double figures, led by 15 points from Tanner Coleman. Bryce Sinn and Mason Rich each scored 13, Jack Redlinger added 11 and Dalton Myers finished with 10. The victory improved Washington’s overall record to 7-11.
The Mount Pleasant Panthers is looking to wrap up an undefeated conference season, winning 17 of their 19 games this winter. Brady Sartorius tops the Southeast Conference with 425 points scored, an average of 22.4 points per game. Sartorius also leads the league with 95 assists. Kieran Kohorst and Tom O’Connor have grabbed 106 rebounds each for the Panthers.
