The Iowa Mennonite Boys basketball team won their seventh game in a row Tuesday, taking a hard fought Southeast Iowa Superconference contest at Mediapolis 49-43.

Mediapolis led 14-10 after one frame, but IMS was able to turn up the defense, allowing the Bulldogs just six second quarter points, leaving the game tied at 20 going to the half. Things remained tight after the break with Mediapolis leading 31-29 at the end of the third. MEPO still held a one point lead halfway through the fourth when IMS turned up the defense again and hit big shots down the stretch to take control of the game including a jumper from Trevor Leyden, and a three point play from Mitchell Schmeider.

Cole Ours led the way for IMS with 14 points, Reggie Borntrager added 10. With the win IMS is now 15-5 on the year. They will next be in action Friday when they host the Danville Bears in the Southeast Iowa Superconference Shootout.
