The Sigourney-Keota wrestling team had an extra reason to celebrate on Senior Night Monday as Noah Boender rewrote the school record books.

Boender, a senior for SK wrestling 220lbs, broke the school record for career wins. The previous record was set last year by his brother Lane Boender at 134 wins. Noah Boender got the record setting win in the first dual of the quadrangular Monday when he beat Hunter Foubert of Montezuma by a 6-2 decision. Boender got his first career victory January 4th of 2014 by pinning Tim Williams of West Burlington, Notre Dame in 1:45. His 50th career win came December 3rd of 2015 with a fall over Jacob Jackson of English Valleys. Boender joined the 100 win club on December 3rd of 2016 beating Peyton Russell of Centerville by fall.

The SK wrestling team will next be in action Saturday at North Mahaska for the South Iowa Cedar League Conference tournament.
