A mid-December winter storm forced the Washington bowling team to postpone their Southeast Conference roadtrip to Keokuk. The Demons and Chiefs have rescheduled the league match for tomorrow afternoon in Lee County.
The Washington bowlers returned to competition Saturday in Fairfield, battling the Trojans. The Demon boys lost their match, 2,949-2756. Kylan Gillette led Washington in the individual round with a two-game score of 432. The Demons collected 1,861 pins in round one, dropping an additional 895 in the baker rounds. Washington’s girls’ squad tallied a score of 1,890, falling to the Trojans by 648 points. Taylor Northup topped the Demons in round one with a 20 frame score of 362. Washington sunk 1,270 pins in the opening round, adding 620 pins in the baker rounds.
Tomorrow’s league match between Washington and Keokuk will commence at 2 p.m. at Arrowhead Lanes.
