Lone Tree alum Bryan Forbes is filling up the stat sheet in his final collegiate basketball season. Forbes has started all 20 games as a guard for the Briar Cliff University Chargers men’s basketball team (14-6). The Chargers enter play this weekend ranked fourth in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), winning five of their nine league games.

Forbes has scored 358 points this season, tied with teammate Erich Erdman for the team lead. He’s posted nine games of 20 or more points and scored a season-high 33 points against Morningside College on January 7. Forbes tops the Chargers’ squad with 155 rebounds, 33 steals, and 16 blocks. He was named an All-American during his junior season, helping Briar Cliff to a 32-4 record. Forbes was second on the team in scoring with 13.8 points per game and he led the Chargers with 280 rebounds, 69 steals, and 30 blocks.

The Briar Cliff University men’s basketball team continues their season this afternoon, hosting the Donae University Tigers of Crete, Nebraska. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. in Sioux City.
