The Mid-Prairie wrestling team made the trip to Troy Mills and North Linn High School Saturday for the North Linn Lynx Invitational.

The Golden Hawks finished ninth out of 13 teams with an overall score of 80 points. Solon won the meet with 236.5 points. Mid-Prairie brought home two individual championships. Duncan McCain won the title at 132lbs by going 4-0. McCain won the title by fall over Alex Richard of Dubuque Senior to move his record to 18-0. Visouth Peterschmidt went 4-0 on the day to take the title at 195lbs. He won the title 8-1 over Josh Holub of Williamsburg. Jason Tew was runner up at 220lbs, falling in the championship match to Eric Heims of Maquoketa Valley.

WACO finished 13th of an overall score of 17 points. The Warriors were led by Cody Crawford and his fourth place finish. Crawford was 1-3 on the day, beating Michael Welborn of Dubuque Senior.
